A quaint, picturesque, sea side town on the Pacific Coast, south of San
Franscisco.
I have painted this painting twice, both in Oil Pastels.
I did the first one right after my visit to Monterey in late 2005. I was more
satisfied with the waters (esp in the foreground, right hand corner) in this
one.
But I like the second try (below) more because of how I managed the
proportions and the depth.
I painted the second in June 2006 as a gift for my sister-in-law.
